FPLai's wildcard draft engine evaluates every Premier League player using a composite score that weights expected points (55%), recent form (75% of base), points per game (55%), and minutes reliability. An ownership differential penalty discourages over-owned template picks.

The optimizer builds a budget-legal 15-man squad (max 3 from any team, total cost ≤ £100m) and selects the strongest valid formation. A micro-adjustment system continuously tunes correlation penalties and captain weighting.

Squads are locked before the gameweek deadline and scored using official FPL points after the gameweek finishes. Results feed back into the learning loop to improve future selections.
